I gave Hindley Clutch Specialists a ring once all the quotes had come in. They weren't the cheapest quote but they did seem the most reliable out of the top three and were specialists in the area I needed work on. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. They booked me in for the following day; asked where the car was (at a Peugeot garage close to my home address over 10 miles away) and got their recovery service to pick it up first thing the following morning; which I knew about as I got a call at around 10.30 am saying they were working on the car but had noticed there was an attaching part to the clutch (a bearing joint I believe) that was also wearing thin and they asked me if I'd like that fixed for an extra £60. The Peugeot garage had also told me this may have needed replacing but had quoted me at an extra £120 to do it so I was happy to pay what I believe was a fair price for it to ensure the car was fixed properly. What amazed me even more was during this call I mentioned how I was working all day that day and the following day; so I would be fairly hard for me to get to them. They said that was fine and if I had time to do a bank transfer for the work they would drop the car off at my home address (not the same place they picked it up from) that evening once they saw the transfer go through. I got it sorted and had the keys dropped off through my letterbox and the car left on my driveway that very evening; which was amazing. All in all, I can't thank them enough; they got the work done faster than I thought possible; to a high standard; and went out of their way to pick the car up and drop it off to a specific location for no extra cost (something the cheapest two quotes did not have). They truly deserve the 5 stars for their work.
