It's a really beautiful area - so once you leave your car in our capable hands, you can easily fill a few hours with scenery and sightseeing until the work is completed. Directions to McConechy's Dingwall Dingwall is just off the A835 and around 15 miles north-west of Inverness via the A9. For the most picturesque approach, cross Cromarty Firth over Cromarty Bridge from the south on the A9, and you'll enter Dingwall from the north-east. McConechy's Dingwall Autocentre is just to the left on the main road into town from the north-east, so this is also the easiest route to avoid the centre of Dingwall and find us in a matter of moments. What's nearby? It's well worth the short walk north-east out of Dingwall, as the land quickly opens up, with views down to Cromarty Firth. Alternatively, it's a 10-15 minute walk south into the town centre for plenty of independent shops and small cafes, plus green spaces like Pefferside Park. For a hidden gem, stroll up Castle Street from the High Street and you'll see Dingwall Castle Doocot on the left, one of the remaining relics of Dingwall Castle. Public transport The 25, 27 and 61 bus routes all serve Dingwall from Inverness and usually take less than half an hour. Alight at the Royal Hotel stop and walk the half-mile north from the town centre to McConechy's Dingwall Autocentre on Craig Road. Dingwall's railway station is just to the east of the town centre. You can walk to us from the station on a sunny day, or it takes minutes in a taxi.
